Alice and Pineapples

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful, rich and kind hearted woman in Abbotsbury, Dorset, and her name was Alice, had a British nationality. 

Riddle

Suddenly, after eating lunch, when Alice knew her favorite fruit pineapples finished then she decided to buy from market. Alice clad in sundress, sat in horse cart, asked horse rider to take her to the nearby fruit shop. 

When she reached, poured rain and she had to open her umbrella. Alice asked the fruit vendor to give her all pineapples so after paying him money in British Pound, she bought 256 pineapples. When the pineapples were being placing in horse cart by her horse rider, Alice saw cute beggar boy's eyes had been looking on pineapples with hunger. She had no money left in her purse so she decided to give away some of pineapples to him and Alice asked horse rider to give him 90 pineapples. Poor boy became excited and thanked to her generosity.

A. 144

B. 166

C. 155

The correct answer is 166. How we got this answer? It very simple, when you would subtract 90 from 256, got 166. I hope you enjoyed solving this riddle.
