It was a time when Pakistan and India got independence from British in 1947, protagonist named Jawaad had to leave India and migrated into Pakistan. But he left behind his ancestral home and fiancée, Maimuna in India. Majo Bhai, brother of Jawaad supported him after migration because it was new place for him.

Reading this novel would take back Urdu readers back into the past of 1947 era. The new and old generation both would be reading with interest about the old traditions at the time of independence.
